Foodie Friday: Pappa Rich Parramatta
By lucypho_ 12:00 PM foodie friday, friends
A couple of weeks ago, I was headed to Parramatta Westfields and decided to grab PappaRich with a friend.
If anyone wants to check it out, there are located just outside of Parramatta Westfields near Max Brenner and right next to Nandos.
I've been previously about 2 or 3 weeks after it opened and now it's been open at the Parramatta location for a number of weeks. Every time I've walked past, there has always been a line so when I went that day and we were immediately seated, I immediately thought it was going to be my lucky day. It seems going at 12/1pm on a weekday is a good time to go which is surprising since you think the nearby office workers would be on their lunch break at that time.
If you have not heard of PappaRich, they pretty do Malaysian food such as Laksa and Rotti (very thin, flaky and crunchy pastry sort of thing). I wouldn't say the food is blow-your-mind amazing, definitely on the good food spectrum. But man, are their fried chicken skin so bad it's good or what. I absolutely love their fried chicken skin but definitely share them with someone else (or maybe even a couple of someone elses) since it can get somewhat overwhelming by yourself.
We ordered a Kopi drink, Kopi with Pearls (I believe) drink, Fried Chicken Skin, Seafood Laksa and Beef Rendang Roti. All of this came to be about $44 in total with the drinks being about $4/5 and the mains being in the low to high tens, so not that expensive of a meal out.
