Resurrected ~

I know pretty much a month has passed since I last posted on this blog and there isn't really an excuse except life got in the way. Especially exams. I have just been knuckling down and studying and I finally have freedom again after the completion of my last exam for the first semester of 2013. I have something that I want to do for July to make up for it and I'm hoping that it comes through.

As I have completed my exams, I'm going to post up any events that happened in June on every other day and the monthly favourites will be a combination of May and June favourites for the end of the month.

So, let the blogging commence ... again ...

I think it was about 3 weeks ago, my friend and I went to the Lindt Cafe in Sydney to use up a voucher that she had purchased for Mother's Day. The voucher was for a tasting platter/plate that consisted of 2 macarons, 2 hot chocolates, 2 slices of brownies/chocolate cake (not too sure on what it was), 2 pieces of waffles, 2 chocolate balls and a portion of vanilla bean ice-cream. The plate was seriously chocolate overload. I think we got halfway through and were absolutely stuffed but decided to push through. Leaving the brownies/chocolate cake to last was probably the best decision since it was the least rich chocolate dish on the platter and allowed for some breathing room.

I liked the way that they served the hot chocolate with you being in control of the chocolate-milk ratio. I found with majority of hot chocolates that I drink, there is too much milk and not enough chocolate for my liking. The vanilla bean ice-cream had to be a standout for me but I'm not too sure if it was due to the fact it was really good or because it was the only non-chocolate thing on the platter really. I've heard that they do a mean hazelnut hot chocolate that is only available in winter so hopefully, I shall return to Lindt Cafe for one of those.

Overall, it was a nice way to unwind from uni/work and just catch up with one another face-to-face instead of through instant messaging/texting.

Until next time, keep safe and keep on smiling :)
