Today, I just completed two exams for uni so I thought I would reward myself by uploading the second part of my recent shopping adventures. This week will probably be the most I have ever blogged ever since making my first blog back in 2008/9.
Let's get on with the show.

Let's get on with the show.

Blue puffer vest - $12 Rivers
This is my most recent purchase (sorry about these having no order other than the order that I took the photos in) and is one mainly for my trip at the end of the year. I thought $12 was an absolute bargain for a puffer vest and Rivers do have really good quality clothing but they have gone crazy with the sales for the past year or so. I know the colour in the photo shows up more purple but in real life, it really is more of a blue. I could live without the fur along the hood but for $12 I could live with it. If you are in Australia and are going on a ski trip or something soon, then definitely check out Rivers.

Nude Lucy blue straight leg jeans - $20 Glue
Sorry about the photos but these were really the best that I could do. I pretty much live in my Lee Skinny Jeans and I really needed a new pair so when I found these, I just had to have them. I love the colour of them since it isn't the blue that you normally get with denim jeans but like navy blue but lighter (if that makes any sense). I have pretty much been alternating between these and my Lees. And a bargain at $20 from $80.

L: Black long-sleeved v-neck shirt - $4 Big W, R: Navy blue long-sleeved v-neck cardigan - $9 Kmart
Again, I am sorry about the quality of these photos especially since you can't really see the colour of them. These were just basics that I needed to buy for the upcoming winter season and for the autumn that I am currently in. They were inexpensive and the cardigan has become one of my favourites now since it is such a wearable colour and goes with everything. I haven't wore the long-sleeved shirt yet but I will soon enough. The material is quite thick for $4 so I was quite happy with the purchase.
That concludes the fashion bits, now onto the beauty related bits.

Outlast Covergirl in 'constant caribbean' - $3 Big W, Australis in 'Sinfully Sweet' -$4 Priceline, Outlast Covergirl in 'wine to five' - $4 Priceline
The first colour is a beautiful green-blue shimmery colour. It just reminds me of a mermaid and I just fell in love with it. For nail colours, I tend to stick to neutral colours with the odd bold colour once in a while. I have been trying to get out of my comfort zones especially since the nails are quite a small change. However, when I saw the nude-ish colour from Australis during the Priceline 40% off sale, I had to have it. It's just a really nice pale nude colour. The third colour is the colour that I am currently wearing and thought it would be perfect for autumn/winter season. It's just a really nice berry colour. The only downside to it, in my opinion, is that when you take the brush out you can't take off too much polish from the brush. If you do, when you paint your nails the colour stops coming off the brush halfway up your nail. In terms of staying power, it's been about 3-4 days since I painted them and it's starting to chip even with a top coat on.
I also purchased a new base/top coat from Australis during the 40% Priceline sale since I wasn't happy with my current one from Orly. The Orly top coat just didn't seem to do the job for me as my nails would start chipping after a day. The Australis one seems to be doing a better job but I will have to see with further use.

Collection by Bloom eyeshadow in 'sahara desert', L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in 'Goldmine' - both 83c Target
These two purchases would have to my steal purchases of the month. Each eyeshadow was 83c from Target as they are starting their sales early and boy, did they start them with a bang. The first colour is a really nice brown-pink colour which in my opinion, is really wearable and a nice colour to start my eyeshadow collection off. When I happen to do my make-up, it is quite basic with concealer, foundation/BB cream and powder. Rarely do I go out of that since I am quite a beginner and often too lazy. So I thought to make myself go out of my comfort zone in terms of make-up I would introduce eyeshadow into the routine once in a while.
The other eyeshadow is a very shimmery gold colour. This was sort of an impulse buy since it was so unbelievably cheap but when I tested it, it just glided onto my skin and was so soft and smooth. I will just have to find an occasion to wear it. If I happen to go to the Disney Ball being hosted by University of Sydney, I may wear the eyeshadow as part of my costume but we will have to see.
So with that, that's the end of my monthly shopping addiction so far. I will update this when my online order comes in. This is a rather big haul for me considering that I am quite a saver and rarely spend money. I hope you didn't find this post too long or wordy.
Until next time, have a wonderful day and remember to keep smiling :)
