Shopping addict ...? Part I ~

By 9:59 PM , , , , ,

[This post actually ran a lot longer than I originally planned it to, so I will be splitting it up into two parts. Sorry]

This last month has been characterised by my shopping tendencies. I have shopped and shopped and it feels like that's all I've doing outside of uni. Some purchases have been ones that I have been thinking about for a long time while others were impulse buys.

One or two of them will be featured in my favourites post in a couple of days but I will probably do a quick run-through of it here on this post. So get ready for a massive (may be exaggerating here) spam of photos. The quality won't be spectacular since it's just my phone but who's looking at this for photo quality?

If you aren't able to tell by the photos below, it was a massive clothing and a tiny bit of beauty shopping kind of month. I just did an online order on ozsale, so when that comes in I will update this post. My next massive bout of spending will probably be a bedroom/home decor one as my room will be renovated/fixed so keep your head up about that in the near future.

I'll start off with my non-fashion items.

This has to be one of my favourite purchases of the month :D I've been to about 3-4 concerts so far but this one is the one that I am most excited for. Just thinking about it gives me the biggest smile and my body is shaking with happiness and excitement. Absolutely cannot wait for November 9th to come even though I have my exams for uni around that time as well. But no worries, Olly Murs is worth it!!

The biggest purchase of the month but one that has been in the works for about 6 months. My friend and I are officially going to South Korea and Japan at the end of the year!! Excitement is building.  No I did not get the tickets for free, they cost an arm and a leg to me but I am super excited. I'll probably do a post about the trip when it gets closer to the date. I may also do a post about why I am going to South Korea and Japan even in light of recent events but we shall see.

Now onto fashion and beauty related stuff:

Tokito white top - $30 Myer

This shirt was actually a purchase from my recent trip to Adelaide (ignore the wrinkles. It has been in a bag since I have gotten home). I have been loving the brand 'Tokito' recently and this shirt just screamed 'BUY ME!'. I really like the fit of it on me and I especially like the stud detail on the shoulder area. It's not over the top but gives the shirt a little bit of edge. And it also has a collar which I have been obsessed with lately.

Miss Shop mint green dress - $20 Myer

I got this dress at the beginning of the month and I fell in love with the colour. It's just so happy to me and I love wearing the dress because it in turn makes me happy. I like the detail part at the front and is the first item of clothing that I have with a cut-out. I'm not one to show off lots of skin so this dress is usually paired with a cardigan but it's just so cute to me. I think what really pushed me to get this dress was that Myer was having a 50% off all sale items so the dress was originally $70 down to $40 and I got it for $20. The cheapo in me was extremely happy.

Lee sheer black sleeveless shirt - $28 Trade Secret

Been eyeing this shirt at Trade Secret for a while and when I saw it on sale and 'Take a further 10% off', I knew it was a sign that I must get it. I like the buttons and how there are two portions of 'sheerness' if that makes sense. The top is a bit more darker than the bottom and it makes for an interesting shirt in my opinion. Been wearing this shirt quite a bit lately since it's so comfy and easy to wear.

Black Peplum shirt - $10 Cotton On

My other purchase from my trip to Adelaide and it's just a basic black peplum shirt. I don't actually have any peplum shirts and I thought this would just be nice with a nice pair of jeans and a pair of wedges for a night out to dinner with friends. It was relatively inexpensive so I was pretty happy. The material is not as thick as other peplum shirts that I have seen but since it can get pretty hot in Sydney, I thought it would work well with the Sydney weather pattern.

Tokito white bow shift dress - $12.50 Myer

An absolute bargain for this cute little shift dress at $12.50. I don't think I have ever shopped in Myer as much as I have this month. I tend to stay away from it as it is a department store so it runs a bit more pricier but with their recent sales I couldn't say no. This dress was purchased when they had their 'Take a further 75% off for all sale items" so I purchased a dress which was originally $80-90 for $12.50. Absolutely amazing and it is such an adorable dress. I just fell in love with it when I tried it on. I love the simplicity of it and the bows and the pleating in the top centre of the dress. Absolutely love it.

Stay tuned for part 2 in a couple of days. Will probably be up after my monthly favourites or it may go up before ... who knows.

Until then, keep safe everyone.
